Welcome
The Barker lab studies cellular decisions that regulate life and death decisions in the normal and damaged nervous system and in cancer. We combine genetics with cell and molecular biology to study and decipher conserved intracellular pathways in model systems ranging from flies to rodents.

The Barker lab is located on the McGill University campus in Montreal Quebec. The lab is part of the Montreal Neurological Institute (MNI) and Hospital where multidisciplinary teams of basic and clinical scientists generate fundamental information about the nervous system and apply that knowledge to understanding and treating acute and progressive neurological diseases and cancer.
